I like the fact that it sturdily holds all my devices such as my IPad pro 12.9", tab S7+ 11", my note 10 and cameras. I would and will buy it again for the price.
The weight and the construction feel right on, so I recommend this head for very light visceral equipment and light nimble boom microphones for video sound, EX. the new Rode NTG hybrid boom mic, great for the camera and great for a boom. A 3/8th to 1/4 adapter female, comes in handy and is included with the ball head.
Great value for the money.
This was purchased to allow angling of an overhead rod mounted to a camera slider. The pole by itself only allowed a 90 degree angle, so adding this little guy to the setup gave me the freedom to alter the angle of the rod, which my smart phone was mounted to.It's made of all metal, which was nice. I needed to tighten the darn thing hard to get it to hold in place though, my phone doesn't weight too much but when extending the rod of my setup out pretty far, physics take over and this product struggled to hold unless I aggressively tightened it. So far its working as I had hoped.
I had not used my monopod for a long time due to the fact I didn't have a swivel head on it. By adding the 1/4" Swivel Mini Ball Head to my monopod I was able to use my small point and shoot cameras more effectively and also use my cell phone in a sort of homemade selfie stick. The price was right and it works well for what I want to use it for.
I bought this item so that I could install it on my Wali Articulating Single Monitor Desk Mount. I needed it to make a budget overhead rig for my camera. It seems to be working just fine. I'll update this review if I run into any problems. 😀
